1) Start before they arrive!
From pregnancy to arrival, play and read the Qur’an often in your home. Get your life in a good routine where it revolves around worshiping Allah all day long. Your baby is listening!
2) Bedtime routine
When getting your child into a bedtime routine, include reading or playing the Qur’an after your good nights and bedtime stories. Their hearts are still absorbing the Qur’an even after they sleep! They will have a restful sleep and before you know it they won’t sleep without the Qur’an!
3) Salah and Qur’an in your home EVERYDAY!
Make sure your child always sees you praying Salah, making dua and reading Qur’an everyday. This will instill the importance of Islam in their everyday lives insha Allah.
4) Worship Allah together!
Pray and play everyday with your kids, make worshiping a normal part of your day
5) 30 min a day
Spend at least 30 minutes a day reading or learning the Qur’an. Even if they can’t read yet, talk about the book of Allah and the amazing stories within it!
6) Listening to the Qur’an helps you memorise
If your kids are continuously listening to Qur’an, before you know it they would have already memorised a lot before they even start Qur’an classes!
7) Praise, praise, praise!
Praise gives your child confidence and the safe feeling of being well loved. Never stop! Even if you are upset about something that they have done acknowledge that it is the BEHAVIOR that you are upset about and that you love them just the same!
